Burundi - Muramvya - Murambi - Washed - Bourbon
Deeply complex coffee from Burundi, showcasing the region in true style. A subtle body combines with a medley of fruits, achieving the perfect balance.
The Murambi co-op is a group a several small-holder farms located within the Muramvya province in central Burundi. Comprising of some 2200 farmers, each owning less than 1 hectare of land for coffee production.
Coffee parchment is delivered to the Murambi washing station, where it is sorted and pulped. The beans are then fermented for 24 to 48 hours, after which they are processed using the washed method and then dried on raised beds.
In the cup we are getting notes of white grape, nectarine, and black tea (think Earl Grey). Very good as espresso, works wonderfully well with your filter brewer too! Good with milk, we most enjoyed this brewed black.
