Timor-Leste - Aileu - Laclo - Natural - Timor

More than 500 smallholders combine outstanding quality farming and picking techniques to deliver a truly remarkable coffee. Bold, fruity, this is the sort of natural process coffee where one cup is never enough.

From the Aileu region, smallholders are nestled amongst the mountain so 1600 metres above seal level.

Growing in arid conditions, with a short rain season, creates massive challenges for these smallholders, Yet, through their innovation and dedication, these smallholders are increasing productivity and quality year on year.

The average farm collects only 2 to 3 KG of cherries, which are selectively hand picked. Cherries are then sold to the local mill in Gleno where they are sun dried over 18 to 22 days.

In the cup, expect an immediate hit of strawberry candy (think strawberries and cream lollies). Mellowing out to chocolate and caramel, which the remaining creamy mouthfeel balances harmoniously.

Great as an espresso and with milk, even better in your filter brewer without milk.
